Kizo Art Gallery is proud to be hosting curator Bongi Bengu’s latest group show entitled “Innovative Woman” in November 2009. The exhibition will showcase works by 10 of South Africa’s finest contemporary female artists. “Innovative Woman” will launch at the Constitutional Court during Woman’s month before travelling to the Bell-Roberts Gallery in Cape Town and then to Kizo in KwaZulu Natal. |

Title | A Known Heritage |

|   | Participating Artists: Sifiso KaMkame, Zamani Makhanya, Thami Jali, Lindelani Ngwenya and Paul Sibisi A visual art exhibition that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of KwaZulu Natal. The participating artists Sifiso KaMkame, Zamani Makhanya,Thami Jali, Lindelani Ngwenya and Paul Sibisi are all important assets of the province and have contributed extensively to our arts industry. They all share the same sentiments about their commitment to the province; work in the same studio and have been friends, colleagues and mentors for many years. Their pre occupation and love of KwaZulu Natal and its heritage is a reoccurring theme that runs through all of their works despite the very marked differences in preferred styles and mediums. Works will range from delicate and intricate wire sculptures to oil pastels and prints. The exhibition aims to not only showcase but recognize their talent, commitment and experience that have made them such an integral part of the KZN visual arts industry. |

Live music and a relaxing social atmosphere is planned with the public encouraged to watch the artists and crafters at work and to support them by purchasing their fine artworks. |

All of these works have been inspired by South Africa’s hosting of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ and they have all been recognised as Official Licensed Products of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. |

|   | One of Clint Strydom's photographs from his series entitled “Real Heroes” called "Reflection" was presented to FIFA President Sepp Blatter by Amos Masondo the Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg at the official Mayoral Reception for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2009 on 13 June in Kyalami. The series is part of the 2010 African Fine Art Collection which has been recognised as Official Licensed Products of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
